More Fall Favorites...because you can't stop Mother Nature.

Updated: Nov 22, 2020

It's been so chilly and rainy here I feel like we're way farther into the Fall than we are. I have a sneaking suspicion that winter is coming early this year. Minneapolis already had snow!

Anyway, I've taken my seasonal shopping up a notch because this train ain't stopping for no one. That includes browsing...dare I say it...holiday decor already. I know, I know, it's not even Halloween, so I won't pester you with any of that. Yet. But I am busy in the background pulling some looks and ideas together for when it's a little closer. Today I'm sharing a few more of my cold weather finds in the home goods category but also some lounge wear I'm coveting.

Those slippers are calling to me. I kind of feel like my life isn't complete without them. And those baskets are perfect for storing all your throws when they're not in use. Believe it or not I found all the clothing on Amazon. Am I just late to the game here, or do they suddenly have a lot of great choices in clothing? Late to the game? Yeah, I figured.

Fall and Winter for me are also about gathering together and spending time with family and friends so I can pull myself through the long, dark days. I enjoy cooking for a crowd, while my daughter is the baker in the family. With the pandemic this year there's going to be a lot less gathering than usual, but for my own mental health we will be doing some entertaining in a very limited capacity so I still want my house to feel warm and welcoming to all.

My favorite here is the Jonathan Adler Mohawk Match Strike. Leave it to him to come up with something functional but cheeky. And it's high time this house had a proper whiskey decanter too. We like scotch and bourbon in the winter. Well, anytime really, but especially in the winter because it's so nice to sip near the fire. Fun fact...we named our new dog Bourbon. When the pandemic hit we were planning a trip to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. My daughter and I planned some horse farm tours, trail riding and a Kentucky Horse Park visit, while my husband and I were going to check out the distilleries and restaurants. A family vacation that's win-win for everyone. That was, of course, postponed for the foreseeable future, but it's still on my bucket list.

Well that's all I have for this round but I hope it inspires you in your Fall decorating. Coming up next are some ideas for Halloween, my FAVORITE holiday ever!!
