The sunny days here are doing their best to trick me into thinking that Thanksgiving isn't two weeks away now. They're trying to lull me into complacency.
But I will not be distracted!
The day after Thanksgiving is officially the day I allow Holiday decorations to go up. And I know a lot of you are the same way. So if we're adding to our arsenal of decor this year, the time is now people!
I have to say when it comes to shopping local I HIT. THE. JACKPOT. Arhaus Furniture's corporate offices are just down the road from me....not joking. They are three miles away! That fluffy, sink-in, faux-fur goodness you see above is Arhaus' Snugg Chair. Doesn't that name just say it all? I feel like I could just hibernate in that thing all winter next to the fire...IF I could ever get my daughter out of it. This chair is the hug we all need after the insanity that has been 2020!
I really love that gorgeous tree too. This year I'm going for a single larger tree for the first time in several years. It just feels more special to me and reminds me of my childhood. I need to take my mind on a journey back to simpler times.

My daughter asked me this morning what reminds me of Christmas and one of the things I listed was lights. Candlelight, twinkle lights, the glow of the fireplace. It all gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling I associate with the Holidays. Here are some of my favorites:

Another thing that always reminds me of the Holidays is fresh greenery. Arhaus also has a great collection of faux botanicals if that is your thing. But for me it's not Christmas if there's not SOME fresh greenery in the house.
There are wreaths and matching garlands. These are so festive. I can't decide which I like better. If you dry your fresh foliage and store it carefully you can even use it again next year!
